Ministries

ALTAR GUILD- Polish and prepare vessels for Holy Communion. Wash and iron vestments. Clean up vessels after Holy Communion. Arrange altar prior to service. Hang banners and prepare sanctuary for special seasons/services.

ACOLYTES-They serve as Lay Eucharistic Minister (Chalicist), Thurifer, Crucifer, or Torches. Read lessons as assigned.

HOSPITALITY- Assure that members and guests are welcome in church, at coffee hour, and other church events. Welcome newcomers and get them to record their name, address, phone, email, and the date of their visit.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR YOUTH- Plan and deliver Bible study and other materials as part of the Sunday worship experience for youth. Review alternatives and select curriculum in cooperation with the Vicar.

FUND RAISING- Plan and implement various fundraising events, such as dinners, other products for sale, excursions, etc.

ADVISORY BOARD- serve in the governance of the Mission of the Church of the Holy Nativity.

WOMEN’S GROUP- guide spiritual conversation of women in the congregation and community

MIME MINISTRY- open to all who wish to express their relationship with God through dance

BUILD- Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development- participate in community organizing actions that promote justice and peace in Baltimore City

OTHER OUTREACH OPPORTUNIES- All God’s Children Camp- be a junior or adult counselor; Holy Nativity/St. John’s Development Corporation- serve on the Board or as a helper to the Board Pimlico Road Youth Program- serve as a volunteer; help with field trips, fundraising
